  • Note to existing players: this event is supposed to take place between The Magnificent Tale of Cross Pizza and SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!. For those who have progressed beyond that point, it'll just happen on the first free weekend afternoon you play through. Its placement in the plot feels better paced by being set earlier in the game, but if you have existing saves and you're already past that point in the story, just uh...use your imagination to pretend it's the past or something. So, so, so many bug fixes. A solid 10% of the development time since v0.012 was just fixing dumb things I did in the original release.

Most updates moving forward will be closer to this amount of content than the size of the original release. I personally prefer shorter development cycles with more frequent content updates, so that's what I'll be doing moving forward.

Important Note Regarding Future Updates:

By Another Name is, and always will be, free. But starting with v0.03, content updates will be released to SubscribeStar members two weeks early, before the public release of the update. I don't ever want to paywall actual content for the game, but if you want early access to updates, consider subscribing!
